As we age, our bodies sometimes go through some unwanted changes. For women, changes to vaginal health can be especially undesirable. Not only can diminished vaginal health be a blow to your self-confidence, but it can also lead to problems such as urinary incontinence. Worst of all, vaginal health problems can rob you of a satisfying intimate life, sometimes contributing to real pain and discomfort during intercourse.

At Sugar Land, we hear from many women who tell us that their sex life has suffered. It is our pleasure to give them a message of hope. There are safe, proven, effective, and non-surgical means for rejuvenating your vaginal health, and in some cases, for improving your sexual satisfaction and the intensity of your orgasms. One such treatment is known as the O-Shot®.

What is the O-Shot?

The O-Shot is an injectable treatment that is intended to restore your vaginal health, improve your sex drive, and enhance the quality of your orgasms. That may sound like a lot, but it is all possible due to one important ingredient: Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP.

PRP is drawn from your own blood, then purified before it is injected back into your body in a highly concentrated dose. The PRP draws on your body’s innate healing ability, and when injected into the vagina, it releases growth factors that contribute to tissue regeneration and the development of new cells.

How Does the O-Shot Impact Vaginal Health?

To understand how the O-Shot improves the quality of your vaginal health and enhances the intensity of your orgasms, it is first important to know how your vaginal health changes over time.

As women age, their estrogen level declines. This causes the vaginal lining to dry out and lose some of its elasticity. This makes the vaginal wall a little more fragile and vulnerable to infections. Most notably, it can contribute to pain during vaginal intercourse, an effect that becomes even more pronounced following menopause.

Following the O-Shot injection, PRP will help restore your weakened vaginal tissue. It triggers the growth of new blood vessels, releases collagen and elastin, and improves your vagina’s strength as well as its natural lubrication.

Because of this, the O-Shot can eliminate the pain you feel during sex. More than that, though, it can help you enjoy sex quite a bit more.

How Does the O-Shot Improve Your Orgasms?

For patients who specifically desire to improve the intensity of their orgasms, we will often recommend an O-Shot directly to the clitoris. This causes the development of new nerves, blood vessels, and collagen, all of which can make your clitoris more sensitive and more responsive.

The results include the ability to enjoy more significant and pleasurable orgasms, as well as some women start to experience multiple orgasms.

Our board-certified gynecologist Dr. Evans may also recommend injecting the O-Shot into the G-spot, an area that is uniquely sensitive to sexual stimulation and thus able to deliver more powerful orgasms. The O-Shot adds tissue to the G-spot and can also make it more sensitive through the creation of new nerves and blood vessels.

What is it Like Getting the O-Shot?

Getting the O-Shot can make a huge difference in your sex life, improving life for you as well as for your partner. But what is it actually like to have this procedure?

Rest assured that patient comfort is a huge concern for us, so we always apply a topical numbing agent before the O-Shot treatment. Some patients report a slight pinch or a warming sensation, but beyond that, you will not experience any pain or discomfort.

Getting the O-Shot usually takes no more than 20 minutes to half an hour. You will likely experience results almost immediately, though it may be up to three months before you realize the full results of the O-Shot.

You are free to resume sexual activity a few hours after getting the O-Shot.

The results of the O-Shot may last for about a year and a half. To extend the results, we invite you to join us for a follow-up injection. Many women come in for an O-Shot about every 18 months, ensuring that they maintain prime sexual health and pleasure, including strong and intense orgasms.
