P-Shot for Men

What is Priapus Toxin™?

Priapus Toxin™ is a minimally invasive treatment that involves injecting 100 units of botulinum toxin into the corpus cavernosum of the penis — 50 units on each side of the muscle. Botulinum toxin injections can relax the corpus cavernosum muscles, thus allowing the penis to fill with blood more effectively. Priapus Toxin™ treatments help restore sexual vitality in men by achieving more muscular and more intense erections and orgasms. It also helps improve the appearance by simply appearing larger at rest.

How Does Priapus Toxin™ Procedure Improve Erections?

Botox® has been used for years as a way to relax the smooth muscle of the bladder with bladder spasm. Botox is also thought to relax the smooth muscle that controls blood flow through the arteries of the penis; when the smooth muscle relaxes, the arteries increase in diameter, and more blood flows into the penis—causing improved erection and, perhaps, penile health. It can lead to a healthier functioning penis.

Botox also is known to migrate along the axon that innervates tissue (this is known to happen when Botox is used to treat migraines). It could be that this migration of Botox along the ganglion to the controlling axon could increase parasympathetic tone–also contributing to increased firmness of the erection and possibly arousal.

What Are the Benefits of P-Shot?

The P-Shot (Priapus Shot) uses Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP), separates the growth factor in your own blood, and re-injecting the plasma back into your body. This regenerative treatment was originally used for treating athletes with sports injuries but is now also used as an alternative to help men with erectile dysfunction. The benefits include:

  • Increased sensation and pleasure
  • Increased stamina and ability to maintain erections
  • Increased strength and intensity of orgasms
  • Increased quality, and potentially the size, of erections
  • Can enhance the efficacy of other therapies such as Viagra or Cialis

Treatment is virtually painless and takes place in the privacy of our Houston practice. P-Shot uses your body’s regenerative capabilities, and the benefits can last up to 2 years before you need to return for retreatment.
