The O-Shot
Developed by Dr. Charles Runels, the O-Shot is an office-based procedure that uses PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to rejuvenate vaginal tissue and enhance sexual response. This procedure has also been found to help with mild stress incontinence.
PRP consists simply of blood plasma with a concentration of platelets and other growth factors. To prepare for PRP, blood is drawn from a patient and spun in a centrifuge, separating the platelets from the rest of the blood’s components. These platelets are then recollected and re-injected back into the selected areas of the patient.
The procedure is simple, quick and comes with minimal risk since we are simply re-injecting patients’ own concentrated plasma with enriched growth factors back into their bodies.
